Mary Petro Program


Mission Statement

To provide temporary relief to Sun City Center and Kings Point residents who are in
dire need of assistance with food and / or medicine.


Food and Medicine

 Mary Petro, a former resident of Sun City Center, left a donation to the Community Foundation of Greater Sun City Center.  The Community Foundation asked SouthShore United Church of Christ to administer a program that would identify and assist qualified recipients.  The program is open to legal residents of Sun City Center and Kings Point who are in dire need of assistance with the cost of food and / or medicine.

 

Eligibilty

Recipients must be legal, full time residents of Sun City Center or Kings Point.

Residents of Sun City Center with incomes not exceeding $17,000/yr for individuals or $22,000/yr are eligible to apply for assistance.


Application

To apply for assistance residents are required to fill out an application and provide the following supporting documentaion:  SCC, KP or Freedom Plaza ID card, income verification documents and copy of previous year Federal tax return


Applications are available in the Mary Petro office which is open every Tuesday and Thursday between 10 am and 2 pm
